Glen Haven

Tuesday, May 27, 2008
Last Sunday we went to have picnic at Glen Haven. I kind of pop up the idea around half past 12. I quickly fix us some salads and packed up whatever available. We stopped by at Walmart to buy some soda and cakes then head to Estes Park. The canyon winding road still wonderful although I wish we could stop by the road and enjoy the beauty of the Big Thompson Canyon. It was Sunday and it's in Summer plus next day is Memorial Day so the were more crowds than before. Well, the wild beauty makes the whole things worth coming back. This time we'd make sure the battery's full. Though, I still wish we have Camcorders so that we can capture it in motion.. the pictures did not do justice to the real scenery. Views are breathtaking.

We stopped at our favorite spot at Lower North Fork Picnic Ground. I like the way this people provided the table and all with a certain distant to give privacy to visitors. It even have a built in griller for those who wanted to chillin' and grillin'. Unlike Malaysian style where we normally can see what the neighbors is eating and can even hear the talking as well. The weather is nice and warmer than our previous visit. Still, it is way too cold to dip yourself in the inviting streams and enjoy the water. It remains icy cold. Well, perhaps next time we can do some grillin' huh?
